Monarch Healthcare Management is seeking a full-time Regional Reimbursement Consultant. This position is Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Travel throughout Minnesota will be required for this position. Position Summary: The Regional Reimbursement Consultant is responsible for the oversight of clinical documentation and reimbursement as it relates to the RAI/MDS completion process for Monarch Healthcare Management. Assist with overseeing and leading the RAI/MDS process to ensure an environment that achieves high-quality care and services for residents. Direct and ensure the development and completion of the resident assessment process with other health professionals consistent with regulations and established clinical best practices. Ensure timely, accurate and complete assessment of the resident's health and functional status during the entire assessment period. Ensure consistent and continuous compliance by maintaining awareness of both Federal and State regulations and reimbursement practices. Promote efficient and effective operations by providing expert clinical reimbursement oversight for skilled nursing facilities. Assist in the recruitment and hiring of facility MDS Coordinators, and act as a resource for staff when questions arise. Assist with training of new and existing facility staff, as needed, to help improve clinical care and accuracy of MDS coding. Function as an RAI/MDS nurse and clinical reimbursement resource to the staff, backfilling the MDS Coordinator role during a transition period as needed.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Nursing required with current RN licensure from the MN Board of Nursing. 3+ years experience with RAI process/MDS 3.0 completion, reimbursement, clinical resource utilization and/or case management in long term care. High initiative and ability to efficiently and effectively lead interdisciplinary teams and coordinate and manage RAI/MDS process. Demonstrated ability to write and implement policies and procedures. Demonstrated computer proficiency in various computer software applications and electronic health records. Knowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements for long term care. Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills; adaptability, flexibility, and creativity. Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers. Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
