THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT PARMLY ON THE LAKE IN CHISAGO CITY, MN POSITION SUMMARY: The Wellness Director is responsible for managing and directing the active aging initiative through the M-Power Wellness Center. Will provide personnel oversight, assist in instruction of programs & seminars, coordinate wellness programs, facilitate the direction of the program, educate the community on active aging and geriatrics, market the wellness center, prepare and monitor budgets. JOB DUTIES: The Wellness Director is responsible for leading, planning, implementing, and evaluating a holistic wellness program within the M-Power Center and across the campus. Determine types of wellness/exercise programs necessary to meet individual needs of the members and to achieve the objectives of the M-Power Center members. This position will develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and training manuals related to the program operations. The Director will prepare and monitor operating plans and budgets. QUALIFICATIONS: Will possess a BS or MS in health- related field or gerontology field or 2 years' experience in a related field. Member of American Senior Fitness Association, Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer, or American College of Sports Medicine, Health Fitness Instructor, Exercise Specialist or Registered Exercise Physiologist preferred. WSI Certification, CPR, and First Aid certification required. Excellent communication and computer skills required. Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
