Minnesota Great : Care Providers of MN Convetion 2009

November 16-18, 2009
Hyatt Regency

While the 2009 Convention & Exposition is months away, there is already plenty of exciting information to share. We hope you’ll check back often as we’ll be adding details and some special promotions and “treats” for you!

CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS

The theme for this year’s convention is MINNESOTA GREAT.  If you have a topic that reflects the “innovation, frugality, determination, and dedication” providers use in giving the MINNESOTA GREAT quality of care and services for which we are known, please submit a proposal.  We are still accepting proposals in all disciplines and areas of business operation, but we really need to hear from you now.

The deadline has been extended to March 16, and we will continue accept proposals on an as-needed basis.  We’ll post specific needs on this website and hope you’ll share your good ideas with us this year!

The Call for Presentations is posted on our website at:  http://www.careproviders.org/members/2009/CFP12109.doc

KEYNOTE PREVIEWS

     Bob Ash

We are delighted to announce that Bob Ash will kick-off the 2009 Convention & Exposition. Ash, founder of Life Lessons, brought his down-to-earth wisdom and practical message to the hundreds in attendance at the 2008 Assisted Living & Senior Housing Summit. He’ll share the same sensibilities in a brand-new way as the Opening Session Keynote Presenter on Monday, November 16. Look for a sneak preview of Bob’s presentation coming soon!

A Life Lesson Thought
"In the beginning, we all have the same amount of time in one year ...8,760 hours, 525,600 minutes. Where we differ is our CHOICES on how they are used."

     Clint Maun

Clint Maun, nationally-recognized healthcare management expert, will make a second Minnesota appearance this year at the 2009 Convention & Exposition. His positive action and results-oriented strategies will be shared with Association leaders during the CEO Connection and Annual Meeting on Monday November 16. He’ll then open the second day of the Convention with a motivating keynote address. Co-founder of Maun-Lemke, Clint has over 38 years experience in healthcare management. His acclaimed leadership process, "Smooth Operations", has been successfully implemented in small and multi-facility businesses nationwide.

Since 1984, Maun-Lemke has concentrated on innovative ideas and techniques to improve the "people business" of the healthcare profession. Look for more information on Clint’s presentation in the coming months!

2009 HIGHLIGHTS

Ready to see what’s in store this year? We’ve given you some hints in the previous sections, but saved some of the best for last! Here are some of the things you have to look forward to:

The Coffee Welcome is back and we’re adding it to Tuesday morning’s schedule, as well. The Board of Directors invites you to join them in the Nicollet Promenade for coffee and a special welcome to start the morning.

The CEO Connection & Annual Meeting join forces on Monday. We’re combining two important owner/leader events into one afternoon of important industry and Association news, decision-making, and high-level trend-tracking.

Breakfast in the Expo Hall on Wednesday will allow exhibitors to welcome you with coffee, juice, and rolls. If it’s your first day at Convention, you’ll have a chance to tour the hall before your day begins. If you went through the hall on Opening Day, now’s your chance to circle back to those vendors you missed or didn’t have a chance to spend enough time with on Tuesday.

You can see a complete schedule of events (still subject to minor changes) below.
