Group Purchasing - Health Care Purchasing Alliance

The Health Care Purchasing Alliance is a joint venture between the Care Providers of Minnesota Service Corporation and UHF Purchasing. Unlike other programs that focus only on number of participating vendors, the Health Care Purchasing Alliance negotiates price breaks with each vendor before bringing them on board.

The Health Care Purchasing Alliance is by far the largest and most effective buying cooperative in Minnesota's long-term care world. The HCPA continues to grow and provide new contract options and services to participants. The HCPA does not engage in a bait and switch tactic that some smaller programs might use, giving a price break in one area and taking it back in another. Instead, the full time professional staff of the HCPA are working constantly to improve the prices available to providers across the board.
