Stevie Ray has been a nationally recognized speaker and trainer for over 25 years, helping Fortune 500 companies and small organizations alike improve communication skills, teamwork, innovative thinking, leadership, and customer service. He has been a professional entertainer since his first comedy show at the age of nine. He is the Executive Director of Stevie Ray’s Improv Company in Minneapolis, a company that has provided training and entertainment since 1989. Stevie is a professional member of the National Speakers Association. He is also a nationally syndicated columnist for the Business Journal Newspapers and is the author of nine books. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife and step-daughter. He learned his quick-thinking skills trying to win debates with them. It has yet to work.



CLOSING KEYNOTE
Leading Quality Innovation Within the Framework of the Quadruple Aim
Rahul Koranne, MD, MBA, FACP, Chief Medical Officer, Minnesota Hospital Association

Dr. Rahul KoranneRegardless of the outcome of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) debate, the pillars of the ACA will remain with us. The Quadruple Aim emphasizes the original three goals—better care, better health and lower costs—plus the goal of improving caregivers' experiences. This closing keynote will focus on the quadruple aim for an aging population; how we can all be more proactive in quality improvement activities; and why we should take advantage of quality improvement innovation opportunities.
 
Rahul Koranne is board-certified in internal medicine and geriatrics and was elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians in 2006. He completed his internal medicine residency at the State University of New York, his fellowship in geriatrics at the University of Minnesota and earned an MBA at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Rahul worked in the smallest Critical Access health system in rural MN for 5 years and one of the largest integrated delivery systems in Minnesota for 10 years before joining the Minnesota Hospital Association as its first Chief Medical Officer in 2015. A primary care physician at heart, Rahul has worked in all the settings of care across the care continuum.

Rahul has been very active at the Minnesota state level with various health reform activities since 2008 including MN’s Health Care Home model and the federally funded State Innovation Model. Rahul serves on faculty at several schools at the U of MN including Carlson School of Management, Family Medicine and Community Health, School of Nursing and School of Dentistry. He is a board member and Chair of the Investment Committee at the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation in St. Paul and he serves on the Board of Visitors at U of MN School of Nursing. Dr. Koranne’s passion lies in creating optimal health for every individual and helping engineer a nation-leading health system.
