Housing Managers Education Series - Virtual Event

Housing Managers Education Series - Virtual Event
The Housing Managers’ Education Series is one of Care Providers of Minnesota’s most popular and longest-running programs. The HOUSING MANAGERS’ EDUCATION SERIES is a virtual certificate program designed for housing professionals trying to manage the multitude of tasks they face every day, nursing facility administrators considering expansion into senior housing, nurses looking for a greater understanding of the role of the housing manager, and other interested staff.

The HOUSING MANAGERS' EDUCATION SERIES is a comprehensive learning experience and a worthy career and business investment.

Housing managers wear many different hats—from business manager to marketer, program director to human resource director, landlord to maintenance staff—with many tasks in between. Throughout the four days of this series, attendees will learn from experts in the field, as well as from the experiences of colleagues.

The HOUSING MANAGERS' EDUCATION SERIES is designed to fulfill 21 of the 30 hours of the housing with services manager continuing education requirements. The series will include information on legacy path for current housing managers into licensed assisted living directors.

This series is not a pathway to licensure. By August 1, 2021, each licensed assisted living facility must have a licensed assisted living director. The Board of Executives for Long-Term Services & Supports (BELTSS) is currently developing education requirements and testing for assisted living director licensure. Because the education requirements have yet to be finalized, this series was not designed to satisfy a licensure training and examination course. However, the series is designed to meet BELTSS and Board of Nursing continuing education requirements. Care Providers of Minnesota will be offering education specifically for licensed assisted living director requirements and examination.

All participants receive module materials in a digital format, including a resource appendix containing pertinent laws, rules, and other resources in a digital book. Those who complete the entire series will receive a certificate upon completion of the series.

Each module will be presented live, and participants have the opportunity to engage with presenters. In addition, each module will be archived and available for 30 days after live presentation.
