The UCare 04-10-2026 Order for Rehabilitation was approved by Minnesota District Court with a modification is now posted here.
Providers will want to closely review both the 04-10-2026 Order for Rehabilitation as well as newly posted FAQs.
When reviewing, please keep the following in mind:
- In general, most providers are considered Priority Class 4 Claimants.
- Pages 11, 12, and 13 of the 04-10-2026 Order for Rehabilitation spell out the processes relating to the questions you may have.
- The FAQs are intended to address questions you may have. Providers will also want to review these questions and answers.
For example, Question 6 under Section 1 for dates of service 12/31/2025 or earlier states:
6. Will the timing of claims payments be impacted by the rehabilitation?
Yes. Pursuant to the Rehabilitation Plan, claims are being released in the order in which they were adjudicated. We have been authorized to release $350 million in claims payments and that process is expected to be completed in mid-May. We anticipate that over one million claims will be released. It is also our intent to release all $0 pay claims as soon as practical irrespective of adjudication date.
We anticipate current liquid assets will be increased by receivables due to UCare over the course of the year. Each month, the Rehabilitator will review whether UCare can make further payments.
