To help you get the most out of your Convention experience, here are some helpful tips!



  1. REGISTRATION. Haven't registered yet for Convention? There's still time. Just click here
  2. PARKING. If you are NOT staying at the hotel, please park in the self-park (north of Mystic Lake Center) area. Just follow the Mystic Lake Center signs, and you’ll find plenty of parking spaces! If you are staying at the hotel, there is valet or self-parking. Please follow the HOTEL signs.
  3. NAME BADGES. If you have one, there is no need to check in. If you need a name badge, please visit the registration/Information Desk when you arrive. (You’ll need a name badge in order to attend any of the education sessions, keynotes, and exhibition hall.)
  4. WATER. There are filtration water stations throughout the event center—so BRING YOUR WATER BOTTLE! (Note: on the gaming floor, there is free soda, coffee, and water available 24/7.)
  5. COAT RACKS. Wondering where to hang your hat or coat? There will be places to hang your coats in the event center, behind the escalators.
  6. QUICK GUIDE: New for 2019! Pick up your Quick Guide at the Registration/Information Desk. It’s three days of information packed into an easy-to-carry format.
  7. POPROCKS. Monday, November 18–with doors opening at 6:00 PM, Monarch Healthcare Management is hosting POPROCKS, which combines the music of a DJ, the theatrics of a Broadway musical, and the live energy of an arena rock extravaganza!. Convention attendees are invited, but you must have a wristband. Pick up your wristband in the exhibition hall at sponsors’ boothsMcKesson Medical-Surgical, Moments Hospice, Polaris Pharmacy Services, Remedy Therapy Services, Reside, SNF Metrics, and Synapse PDI
  8. CELEBRATION OF CARING RECEPTION. A fun, party/reception open to all attendees on Tuesday, November 19, starting at 4:15 PM. The reception features a DJ, appetizers, and a cash bar. We will be honoring a few award and scholarship recipients, along with the Leading4Life Fellowship graduation. Plan on attending—it’s going to be GREAT!!
  9. EXPOSITION. Always a high point to meet with vendors! Monday’s exposition hours are noon–5:15 PM, with a reception open to all from 4:15–5:15 PM. Tuesday offers two exposition events: The non-profit/government tables are open from 8:00 AM–1:30 PM; exhibitors in the Minnetonka Ballroom will be open 8:00 AM–noon.
  10. SILENT AUCTION. Items will only be available for viewing and bidding on Tuesday, November 19, from 10:00 AM–5:00 PM. Items will be on display outside of the Minnetonka Ballroom.
  11. FOOD, FOOD, and MORE FOOD. There are many restaurants/food choices available in the casino/promenade area. Choose from the Promenade restaurants, Minnehaha Café, the Buffet, and Caribou coffee.
