Opportunities for home healthcare agencies continue to grow due to the elderly population and preference of most retired Americans to be cared for in their homes. Medicare reimbursed home health services have been designed to meet the short-term skilled needs of the homebound client. While Medicare is not the only payer source of home health, many insurers require a home care agency to be Medicare certified as a minimum requirement for contractual arrangements.
