The largest scale change to the skilled nursing facility (SNF) and nursing facility (NF) regulations since 1988 is now in full swing with the implementation of the new Requirements of Participation—both Phase 1 and Phase 2—as well as a new survey process and enforcement guidance. Add in all new emergency preparedness requirements to really shake things up!

The Minnesota Board of Nursing has adopted new rules regarding continuing education requirements for nurses. The contact hour is now defined as 60 minutes (previously it was 50 minutes).
