Assisted living licensure preview online workshop

Assisted living licensure preview online workshop
As if a pandemic wasn’t enough, new assisted living licensure laws are around the corner. August 1, 2021 will be here soon. Are you prepared to transition to the new assisted living license mandate? There will no longer be a separation of housing with services and arranged home care providers in assisted living communities—have you figured out how that will look for your establishment? Do you know who will be your licensed assisted living director and what that encompasses?

This introductory session will help lay out the foundation of changes you will need to implement prior to August 1, 2021, including the differences between the two available licenses; required changes in contracts; survey frequency; terminations/discharges; assessments; physical plant requirements and building inspections; and more.
Learning objectives
  • Identify who this applies to and when
  • Understand the regulatory framework
  • Describe operational planning and the assisted living director expectations
  • Learn how you can influence finalizing the licensed assisted living rules
