One of the major items of confusion is the requirement of the fire safety and evacuation plan. MDH’s Engineering Services hopes to clear any confusion and discuss what we have found on other providers’ plans. You may find some helpful hints for your facility.

State law says cannabis use, possession, growing, and transporting are legal, and landlords are not supposed to unfairly restrict cannabis. Yet, federal law says cannabis is illegal and residents may be using cannabis in precarious ways to themselves, others, and even your agency. In this session, attorneys Robert Rodè and Rebecca Coffin will discuss the current state of affairs with medical and recreational use cannabis in the AL and housing settings; including legal and clinical requirements and considerations. Rob and Becky will work with participants in reviewing and creating effective policies and procedures and offer strategies and best practices and considerations in navigating all of these issues.
