Restart Inc, a 501 (c) (3) organization located in Minneapolis, MN was created in 1986 to focus on housing and services for individuals with brain injuries. Since then it has expanded to own two community residential setting programs and five assisted living settings. Restart also operates an Outreach Individualized Home Support (IHS) service that assists individuals in their own housing throughout the Twin Cities. Restart has earned a solid reputation as a provider of choice in this market and while the Residential Program focus is on brain injury services, the Outreach ILS Program has an expanded emphasis for individuals with additional needs based on mental health, other disabilities, including impaired elderly individuals. Restart has approximately 75 employees. Mission To support persons with brain injury and related disabilities to achieve their highest level of independence through programs and independent living services in community living and outreach environments. Position Overview Are you an experienced and collaborative Assisted Living leader with an active LALD designation? If so, check out this opportunity with Restart, Inc in Minneapolis! The Director of Residential Services is responsible for the oversight of our residential locations and the Site Managers who serve as the front-line administrators for day to day operations of our programs. This includes, ensuring that services and support are provided to residents in a manner that protects their health, safety, and well-being and is consistent with residents' rights; maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations; hiring, training, and supervising staff; maintaining buildings and grounds; and ensuring the development, implementation, and monitoring of an individualized, person-centered plan of care for each resident, regardless of the internal or contracted service model. Reporting to our Senior Director of Operations, this role has nine direct reports encompassing an Associate Director of Residential Services, Life Enhancement Coordinator, Nurse Manager and six Site Managers. Specific responsibilities include: • Ensure the operations of our residential homes and ancillary services are efficient, compliant and focused on the well-being of both our residents and our dedicated staff who provide direct care. • Utilize your extensive knowledge of Assisted Living and 245D environments of care to coach, train and instill accountability related to documentation, and overall regulatory compliance. • Collaboratively work with colleagues to create and maintain program plans, timelines, and budgets. • Maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations. • Proactively oversee and coach to successful outcomes, opportunities related to employee performance. • Ensuring the development, implementation, and monitoring of an individualized, person-centered plan of care for each resident, regardless of the internal or contracted service model. • Develop and maintain reporting metrics, SOP’s, and/or policy that support and guide a highly functional and engaging workplace. • Proactively and collaboratively ensure adequate staffing plans with site leaders. • Instill and nurture an environment of curiosity and accountability that is consistent with our core values and competencies. • Actively participate as a member of Restart’s leadership team, including our “on-call” rotation. • Collaboratively develop, disseminate and maintain budgets.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications -Current LALD license -Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with a disability population or in an Assisted Living environment. -Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience within this or related care environment. -Current drivers license and vehicle with the ability to transport others. -Successfully pass all pre-employment & background screening requirements. -Flexibility and aptitude for leading in a 24/7 care environment. -Demonstrated communication and organizational skills. -Knowledgeable about, and hands-on experience with appropriate community resources available to the persons served. -Working knowledge of both Brain Injury; Home and Community Waivers Preferred Qualifications -Bachelor degree (social services, rehabilitation, occupational therapy, nursing, or related field) How to apply: Interested and qualified candidates, please follow this link to apply RESTART Director, Residential Services Apply.
