Providers currently registered with National Government Services’ (NGS’) NGSConnex (a free and secure internet portal) are now able to log in and use the Medicare Beneficiary Identifier (MBI) look-up tool to obtain their client’s MBI, if CMS has mailed them their new Medicare card

To use this new self-service tool in NGSConnex, providers are required to validate using reCaptcha software and then enter the following search criteria:
  • Client last name
  • Client first name
  • Client date of birth
  • Client social security number
  • NPI

NGS has created a helpful three-minute video about the MBI look-up tool now available in NGSConnex.

Please contact Todd Bergstrom at the Association office if you have any questions.
