Foundation Scholarships

The education scholarships funded annually by the Care Providers of Minnesota Foundation are designed to assist qualified persons who wish to further their education and practice serving seniors and persons with disabilities. It is the Foundation’s intention to encourage scholarship recipients to continue to work serving seniors and persons with disabilities although this not a requirement.

In 2017, 17 scholarships of $1000.00 were awarded.

Application Timeline

May 14, 2018
 - Applications available
July 13, 2018 - Applications due (online submission or postmarked by)
August 10, 2018 - Scholarship recipients selected
September & October, 2018 - Scholarships awarded to recipients

Submission Requirements

A complete application packet consists of:
  • Application Form
  • Responses to Essay Questions
  • Administrator/Executive Director/Direct Supervisor Recommendation Form
  • Personal/Co-Worker Recommendation Form 

Eligibility Requirements

All applicants applying for a Care Providers of Minnesota Foundation scholarship must demonstrate that they are:
  • enrolled1 (or enrolled no later than Fall 2018) in an accredited course of study leading to a career path serving seniors and/or persons with disabilities; and
  • Awards cannot be used for past education reimbursement.

1 Scholarship recipients must show proof of enrollment before receiving funding. Scholarships are for current or near-future education only and NOT for past education reimbursement.
2 Scholarship recipients must remain employed with qualifying Care Providers of Minnesota employer both at the time of selection and at the time of their award presentation to receive their scholarship.
