MDH updates LTC cohorting guidance during outbreaks

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) recently published the following resource: “
Resident Cohorts for Respiratory Outbreaks in Long-Term Care.” The document helps guide long-term care provider actions with co-circulation of influenza and COVID-19, discusses quarantine vs. isolation, private rooms, key principles for a COVID-19 unit, PPE, staffing, admissions, and more.
