The Minnesota Department of Health has a request for proposal (RFP) for the Workplace Safety Grant for Health Care Entities program. This was established to award grants to increase safety measures in healthcare settings and establish or expand programs to train staff in healthcare settings on de-escalation and positive support services. The program is focused on preventing workplace violence. With the overarching goal to make long-term improvements in safety and stability for staff and patients in healthcare settings. The estimated award minimum is $25,000, estimated award maximum is $50,000 and the estimated number of awards this cycle is thirty. Long-term care facilities are eligible to apply for the grant.

Collaboration is an essential component to this grant and highly encouraged. Care Providers of Minnesota would welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you and your organization.
